Ride to – Work part 2

Earlier today I shared with you photos of my Ride to Work day journey. I mentioned that I see some cats everyday but had missed them that day.

Well I managed to grab some photos a few days later.

These are two of the grumpiest cats I have ever seen. See

grumpy and very grumpy

and the other one is equally grumpy!

They sit or lie on either side of a road and spend their time being grumpy and looking disapprovingly at anything that makes noise in their street.

In my mind I think of them as Statler and Waldorf from the muppets. Making fun and passing judgement on the passerbys.

Bicycle street Fair and WOOP

A fantastic day out filled with laughter, celebrating all things bike! I sold some caps, chatted to lots of friends, made some new friends, ate some cake pops and had a fabulous time!

Great work by The Spokespeople and WOOP

Sydney Bike Film Festival

Despite needing to rug up against the cold of an outdoor cinema it was once again great to get along to the Sydney Bike Film Festival.

Gorgeous outdoor setting, a food truck selling toasted sandwiches and hours of bike entertainment…if only it could be on more often!

Street Fair of Cycling Goodness this Saturday!

This weekend kicks off Sydney’s Annual Bike Festival but this year it’s bigger and better than ever!

Starting with the Street Fair of Cycling Goodness this Saturday.

Up and down Bourke st the Woop Festival will be on with stalls, bands, swap meets, photo booths and all kinds of fun stuff to do.

Rocket Fuel will be there and for every cap purchased you will receive a FREE musette.

So grab your bike and come say hi! and for all the other cycling fun take a look at The Spokes People site.

Shop visit: Northside Wheelers

On Easter long weekend we popped to Melbourne for a lightning fast visit to see some amazing racing at the World Track Champs. But before we got to the action of the Velodrome we headed out to take a look at Northside Wheelers.

Sadly it was closed when we were there but these photos of the exterior of the store make it number one for places to visit on our next trip.

Sydney Tweed Ride – ways to keep up with the news

I’ve already been getting lots of calls and emails about the Annual Sydney Tweed Ride. To keep in touch with all things tweed check out

sydneytweedride.com which contains the blog and links to the twitter feed and you can join the facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/SydneyTweedRide

As more details become confirmed I’ll certainly be spreading the news here too, but there is a lot of dedicated tweed information being spread through those pages as well.

Round of applause to the Feather Brigade

I 100% don’t buy into the whole Valentines day commercialism schtick but I do however 100% support more people on bikes andthose the people on bikes to be having a good time.

So massive round of applause to the girls from the Feather Brigade for being at the corner of Bourke and Cleveland streets handing out flowers and Valentines wishes to the passing riders. Way to bring smiles and happiness to the daily commute!

Ride to work day 2012

Ride to work day was a few weeks ago, it’s a great way to encourage new riders to get out and try riding to work for the first time.

The City of Sydney had a free breakfast (including free bananas!!!) so I dropped by, caught up with some bike friends and took some photos.

For the full gallery pop on over to the events page of the Rocket Fuel site.
