Merry Christmas

We had a quiet day that started with a run for me and a ride for the Englishman. For the first time it was just the 2 of us (and the cat) for Christmas.

That didn’t stop us from blending his favourites from an English Christmas with mine from an Australian Christmas and ending up with an odd assortment of salads, baked potatoes and meat that once flew, swam and ran.

Weekend in my hometown of Lismore

Recently we went back to my hometown to celebrate my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary. We hung out with the family and took in the local markets.

We played with matchbox toys.

Moser the dog kept an eye on the street.

Got some fruit and vegetables at the car boot markets. The markets are held underneath a shopping centre which makes it a bit dark and dingy but good for all weather.

Besides fruit, vegetables, plants and other hot food choices there are crafts, second hand boots and a pretty good array of vintage clothes. If you don’t mind a bit of a fossick about it’s well worth the look.
