Designs for GEAR shop in Brisbane

Recently GEAR in Brisbane asked for people to submit designs for their new store kit. Design brief stated that it must be influenced by old school BMX. Here is what I designed for them

You can see some of the other designs submitted here. Thanks to Eric at GEAR for letting us submit some designs was really fun.

If anyone else wants some kits designed just get in touch.

Melbourne Bike Fest

Today I am in Melbourne and looking forward to talking about Bike Tribes and the role of design at the Melbourne BikeFest. More details can be found here

Come on down and say hi, am excited to be checking out the Melbourne scene during the festival. Am also dropping into some bike shops, cafes, doing some shopping and am planing on taking the bike share for a spin.

Any other must see/do suggestions for Melbourne are always welcome you can let me know by leaving a comment or on twitter where you can find me at RocketFuelStyle

Pop up bicycle basket

A bike basket that is shipped as a flat packed item and then “pops up” once it’s installed. Cute idea, I like when designers think of shipping and packaging not just end useage on a design project.

Looks nice but I’d be slightly worried that my bag might fall out of the holes?

“horsey” bike

I really don’t know what to say about this…..spotted it on Dude Craft last night and it was just too crazy not to show you all. More details can be found on Design Boom it was done as part of the Seoul Cycle Design Competition.
