Just to add to the fun this weekend Treadlie mag are bringing their Made to Measure Exhibition to Sydney.
Here is what they have to say about the exhibition
We’ve contacted bicycle builders from all over the country; professionals, gifted amateurs, artists and dreamers, and put together eighteen fabulous bicycles of all persuasions for a four day bike-drooling fest! From now until late July, sheds and workshops around the country will be busy with welding and sawing, paint will be spattered, grease will be flying, there’ll be cussing, tantrums and at the end of it all, pride, maybe even a tear, a beautiful bike, and a darn good story.
Sounds fantastic for all the event details pop over to the Treadlie site.
The Tweed Outfitters Pop up shop has arrived at MC Cyclery 230 Clarence St Sydney.
A selection of op shop finds (at op shop prices) are available alongside capes and caps from Rocket Fuel, gorgeous vintage looking bikes and other pieces that will enable you and your bike to look smashing on the day.
Drop by on Saturday when we turn the pop up shop into a tailoring space and get your trousers turned into a pair of plus fours.
Don’t forget you’ll need a basket to carry your picnic with you on the day and a tie for the fastest tying competition.
Or how about a dashing leather satchel from Brooks who have also offered 2 saddles and matching grips as part of the prizes on the day.
Discovered these great images on one of my favourite menswear blogs and while they are linked with the fishing if you took away the fishing props that is some serious tweed style happening.
A few weeks back I shared a lovely D.I.Y showing the ladies how to make one that would be perfect for this weekend’s Sydney Tweed Ride. Now I’m sharing one for the gents that is absolutely smashing!
This D.I.Y features the most exquisite of packaging so if you need to learn how to tie your tie before the weekend’s ride why not print yourself out a copy. Head over the ever talented A Field Journal for the full instructions.
Today we’re sharing yet another D.I.Y for the Tweed Ride, yes there has been a lot of D.I.Y’s lately but it’s so fun to be crafty and there is a prize up for grabs at the Tweed Games for most crafty touch to an outfit so get crafting!
Today’s D.I.Y comes from the amazing Peppermint mag and their wonderful sewing school. Not only do they give great tips they even let you download the sewing patterns!!
