Tonight is GreenUps here is how they describe the event from their facebook page:
On 7 September GreenUps is celebrating the humble bicycle.
We have a new bike to give away, bike valet parking, bike check-ups and bike filims (from the Bicycle Film Festival.)
You don’t have to be a cyclist to come and enjoy this event by the way. It’s still about drinks and networking as usual. But if you’ve been thinking about riding to work, September 7 could be the day!
We’re holding the event at a venue right on one of the city’s new cycleways. In fact it’s the one on Union Street in Pyrmont which will only just be opened. It’s part of the new network of Sydney cycleways.
The venue is Oscar’s Bar. From the city it’s a short pedal across Pyrmont Bridge.
Big thanks to the City of Sydney Council for sponsoring the event – including the bike door prize, bike valet parking and bike check-ups. (Thanks also to our suppliers on the night – Bike Sydney for the valet and Bicycology for the check-ups.)
See you there, with bells on,
The GreenUps Team.
ps. Quick note about responsible drinking and cycling: make sure you stay under the limit guys. We’d like you all to have a great night and get home safely. (Don’t forget your light and helmet too.)
Rocket Fuel is heading over to hang with some friends and see what it’s all about.
